...Republicans taking it hard

Multiculturalism and its discontent – Why are liberals excusing religious abuses on the grounds of cultural relitavism? – I certainly do not agree with an awful lot of what is put forward here but it certainly made me think:

Ken Mehlman comes out– The former Republican party chairman and Bush aide, has come out. The announcement makes him the most senior Republican figure to publicly acknowledge his homosexuality. During his years as Chairman of the National Republican Party and Campaign Manager for Bush the party pursued a number of anti-gay initiatives:

AMC Walking Dead TV Series website – Website for the long-awaited TV series based on Robert Kirkman’s brilliant zombie comic:

In Defence of British Muslims: A response to BNP racist propaganda – A short paper published by the Quilliam Foundation a while back in reaction to anti-Muslim statements made by the BNP:

How to Be a Great Journalist – thoughts from Carl Bernstein:

Death that stalks the sleepwalker– What led a young, successful artist to hang himself? – Harry de Quetteville explores the terrifying phenomenon of parasomnia pseudo-suicide – Very weird article. Also asks the questions “if sufferers are awake enough to perform complex actions, but stripped of awareness by sleep, might they, in an extreme case, unwittingly kill themselves? In other words, did Tobias Wong commit an act, while asleep, that he would have never contemplated while awake? And if so, can he rightly be said to have committed suicide?”:

Business Journalism’s Image Problem – We aren’t all dashing muckrakers like Stieg Larsson’s Mikael Blomkvist. But untangling the financial crisis isn’t just about catching bad guys:

Cake of Britain Edible Art Exhibition – Off to see this for myself tonight!:
